JHS Choir Hosts
6th Grade Solo Festival

Jacksonville High School Choir hosted a Solo Festival for 6th grade students from Nichols Intermediate. This contest was designed to encourage these students and prepare them for similar competitions in the secondary level choir programs of the district.






Judges for the event were Mr. Larry Cigainero, former JHS choral director, and Ms. Sheryl Hanna, music professor at Jacksonville College. Students were well prepared and all received 1st Division Superior Ratings

The Nichols Intermediate Choir is under the direction of Mrs. Phyllis Hunt. JHS Choir Directors are Tommy Corley, Jan Childs, and Erin Blankenship.
